Work Overview

The work stems from working as Music Director for a Spanish Dance Company. It uses the harmonic progressions and rhythmic features of Spanish folk music and flamenco, and two melodies from Spanish folk mjsic - the Petenera, in the slow movement entitled 'La Noche' - Night, and the Jota Aragonesa in the 'Fiesta's mvt. All other themes and melodies are original but designed to blend with the chosen genre.
