Work Overview

Ikigai, a Japanese concept, refers to the idea of having a purpose in life that brings you joy and fulfilment. It's not just about happiness, but Aldo about aligning one's passion, skills, and values with a sense of contributing to something larger than oneself. Composition 'Ikigai' explores the cyclical structure with recurring musical ideas throughout the piece. It evolves into a more complex polyphonic themes in all strings as an atmospheric soundscape recapturing a concept of Japanese philosophy at work.
