FÚRIA for string octet was composed especially for Dutch ensemble Roctet, a newly formed ensemble comprised of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra's leading string players. The work explores themes of rage, mayhem and acrimony, achieved through relentless increase in density, tempo and ferocity.
