The work was written to capture lunar and stellar - and mystical - qualities of evening, and the dances loosely parallel a night-time journey through the four seasons of a year. Along the way you might hear traces of eastern European and/or Middle Eastern folk rhythms, belly dancing, Western pop, clockwork, planetary orbits.
