This anthem sets texts from the Baptism of Jesus (Matthew 3:16-17) and Transfiguration (Matthew 17:2,5) stories to highlight how in each the voice from heaven says the same words. The anthem also includes an allusion to these words from Matthew 12:18 (quoting Isaiah 42:1).
