On refusing an all-risk insurance policy was commissioned by The Australian Vocal Ensemble, a collaboration between Fiona Campbell, Katie Noonan, Andrew Goodwin and Andrew O'Connor. This work forms part of their first commissioning project, bringing together twelve Australian composers to champion the work of Queensland poet David Malouf with new settings of his poetry. My work sets the text of the same name from his book Bicycle and other poems.
