Australian Music Centre | Breaking sound barriers

Event Details

Inspired by a deep love of their homeland, some of Wales’ finest composers and artists come together in a programme bursting with Celtic flavour in an historic gem of a venue. Briefly leaving Welsh shores we pass through Australia, (Matthew Hindson, 2003 featured composer), sample modern-day America with Philip Glass and have a Danish aperitif with Per Nørgård, whose music will be showcased in forthcoming festivals. Back on Welsh soil, Paul Mealor’s Twilight draws the evening to a close. Mealor’s work Ubi Caritas was catapulted to the top of iTunes charts globally following its recent performance at the Royal wedding.
